IOP

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Fremont Hospital’s Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for patients ages 13–17 offers comprehensive treatment for people who need immediate help to achieve stabilization. The programs are offered Monday through Friday with a standard attendance of three hours per day.

Intensive outpatient therapy teaches distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal skills and life skills in a supportive environment. Participants attend group therapy with other patients working on similar issues while continuing everyday activities in their homes and school. The goal of IOP is to give community members access to direct support in order to transition from inpatient treatment to a more independent lifestyle.

Program Advantages

Patients of the IOP program can:

  • Live at home
  • Continue to work or go to school
  • Participate in group therapies that are specific to the patient’s needs while still receiving individual therapy
  • Work with family members on recovery
  • Create a schedule that meets individual needs

The program is offered Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., or 12:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m.

Please download the outpatient clinical referral form and fax the form to 510-818-6399 when completed.
