Our Adolescent Outpatient Programs
We offer two outpatient programs for teens, depending on the level of care they need. We help them seamlessly transition between programs.
Partial hospitalization program (PHP)
This program offers structured support while allowing your child to be home at night and on weekends. They may step down to our PHP for teens after an inpatient stay. The program meets Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn more about our adolescent partial hospitalization program.
Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
A step down from PHP, our IOP for teens provides structured support after school hours. Your teen has counseling sessions three days a week, from 3 to 6 p.m. You and your child choose the days that work best for them. Learn more about our adolescent intensive outpatient program.
Our Mental Health Treatments for Adolescents
Each teen’s journey to recovery is different. We tailor treatment to their needs, using several therapies, including:
- Group therapy: Discussing their thoughts and feelings with peers helps your teen overcome challenges.
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): This type of talk therapy or psychotherapy helps your child identify and change negative thoughts and feelings. It helps them respond to and overcome challenges they may face.
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT): Your teen learns how to regulate their emotions, change unhelpful behaviors and build their stress tolerance.
- Activity-based therapy: Art, movement, writing and gardening help teach your child how to express themselves in healthy ways.
