What to Expect as a Visitor

What are visiting hours?

Adult Units
Visiting hours are from 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. daily (including weekends and holidays).

Adolescent/Children’s Units
Adolescent Program: 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. daily
Latency (Children’s) Program: 5:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. daily

Visits are limited to one session a day to help eliminate disruption in the units.

  • Visitors: All visitors must check in at the reception desk and have the patient identification information. Visitors must place their personal belongings in a locker before visiting a patient at Fremont Hospital. Visits occur in the common areas of the unit, such as hallways and dayroom, with supervision by our staff. Visitors who engage in disruptive behavior or who wear inappropriate attire may be asked to leave.
  • All items for the patient must be delivered to him or her through the receptionist at the front desk.
  • If a visitor is not able to make a visit during the designated hours, we may make special arrangements.


Age of Visitors

No visitor under the age of 18 is allowed on the units. ALL visitors are required to provide valid identification. Childcare is not provided in the lobby. Children must be attended by a responsible adult at all times. Only 2 visitors for each patient are allowed at a time.


Can I send mail or flowers to my loved one?

You can send mail and address it to your loved one. Please note, for safety reasons all mail will be opened in front of a staff member. Sending flowers, however, is prohibited for safety and infection control reasons.
